Martin Rimmer
Head of Tax at Select InvestorsMartin has a degree in German with Economics and International Business, and holds the ATT qualification (Association of Taxation Technicians) in the UK. After two highly formative years with the International Expatriate Services division of Arthur Andersen in London, he relocated to the South Coast to work for The Fry Group in June 1999 where he held a number of roles including Tax Manager, responsible for the UK taxation advice and compliance of the Group’s clients in Europe. In 2006, he was asked to take on a similar responsibility for clients in Hong Kong and then Singapore, making regular trips to the region which culminated in Martin’s relocation to Singapore in August 2011.
Martin formed Select Investors, a division of St. James’s Place (Singapore) Private Limited, with his business partner in January
2018. As the Head of Tax for Select Investors, Martin offers clients first class tax advice, focusing on tax affecting all UK investment plans together with producing repatriation, retirement, capital gains and property strategies for clients and prospects.
With nearly 20 years of experience dealing with International Private Clients including Britons living abroad and foreigners moving
to the UK, Martin is skilled at expressing his advanced technical knowledge in understandable terms, building relationships with
clients and gaining their trust. Martin regularly delivers tax workshops and seminars, and provides technical updates and briefing notes, for a diverse range of clients. He is a prominent figure in the international business community and is regarded as the
Trusted Tax Adviser to a large number of clients in Asia.
