Chris began his career in Federal and State politics in Australia, working for various elected representatives, including the Premier of South Australia. Subsequently, he worked extensively in the private sector in external affairs and communications, most recently with PepsiCo in Asia Pacific. Chris joined Syngenta in May 2020 as Head of Business Sustainability for AsiaPacific.

In this role, he is responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy in the region. As a champion for Syngenta’s Good Growth Plan, Chris is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and community engagement with NGOs, value chain players, farmers, and food companies with the objective of delivering sustainable agriculture outcomes for all stakeholders, enhancing food security and reducing the impact of agriculture on the environment.

Joe Lam leads the property business in Arup’s Singapore office and is a strong proponent of helping his clients balance business as well as economic growth and social needs with our planetary boundaries. Working across markets in Macau, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore for the past 20 years, Joe is a specialist in structural steelwork design, and has managed high-rise, large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects in Asia. As Arup’s representative in Construction Declares, an industry-wide sustainability initiative in Singapore, he actively drives conversations around the need for reusing and repurposing existing assets and raising awareness not just about operational carbon but also embodied carbon, in shaping a better urban future and outcomes for our people, places and the planet

At Microsoft, Lorena is the Azure Data and AI Business Programs, Global Lead (Singapore based), partnering across regions, business areas and stakeholders to drive strategy, execution and growth. She is also a leader within Microsoft’s global Sustainability Community, which advocates for reducing humanity’s carbon impact, understanding and managing Earth’s ecosystems, advancing zero-carbon, and enhancing economic opportunities.

She has more than 20 years of cross industry experience in corporate advisory, management consulting, business transformation and sustainability across multiple geographies including UK, Europe, and Asia. She has worked with C-suite, Boards of companies and innovation start-ups, to design and deliver strategic transformation projects that help them grow. It was during this time she realized that businesses, governments, and communities should collaborate to protect our world for future generations.

Lorena created an award-winning Environmental Social Governance sustainability methodology while running her own consultancy, which established how businesses can use sustainability to drive transformation, productivity and efficiency whilst also building visibility across the business value chain.

A Board Member of BritCham Singapore, and the Chairperson of the BritCham Sustainability Committee, she is focused on the Green Economy. She also sits on the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) International Advisory Board and is focused on Environmental Social Governance (ESG). Lorena has a master’s degree in business, has co-authored business texts on sustainability transformation and is a regular speaker on the topics of sustainability partnering, advocacy and helping businesses reduce their own environmental footprints.

Yasemin is a passionate leader driven to make a difference in her roles at IHH Healthcare, one of the largest healthcare networks in the world with 80 hospitals in 10 countries. Besides being the Group Head of Branding Strategy, she has started to lead Sustainability for the group as well.

Yasemin has held diverse roles in her 20+ years career from working in leading PR and advertising agencies in Istanbul to joining Hyatt Hotels headquarters in Chicago after her Masters Degree from Northwestern University. At Hyatt, she cherished all her various roles from doing database marketing, loyalty marketing, strategic marketing and managing Park Hyatt brand globally. She moved to Singapore 15 years ago where she continued her Park Hyatt role and formed her own consulting firm where she consulted other hospitality brands, luxury brands and start-ups.
Yasemin also taught Marketing, Branding and Service Excellence at Singapore Management University where she got awarded Top 10 Faculty. Teaching is a calling Yasemin looks forward to going back to at the right time again.
Healthcare was not an industry Yasemin ever thought about joining but the opportunity fell on her lap in 2017 right after she lost her nephew and other loved ones to cancer.
Yasemin makes it a priority to find quality time for her two daughters as well as herself to do ballet.
