Suzy has lived and worked in Asia for 10 years.
Suzy manages the Asia business of Mullenlowe salt, overseeing a team of 10 consultants working in corporate, consumer and brand purpose and sustainability communications for global and regional brands.
Suzy has over 20 years’ communications experience working at a senior level, with both corporate and consumer clients, in-house and agency-side. Her passion is leading and inspiring teams to produce engaging and effective communications campaigns for brands which help them deliver on their business objectives.
She has had two periods of entrepreneurship, running her own award-winning communications consultancies in both the UK and Singapore.
Starting her communications career in-house working in UK government, Suzy has also worked with market-leading brands in multiple sectors and markets including Tesco, Roche, Essilor and many Unilever brands, including Lifebuoy, Clear, Ponds and Liptons.
Based in Singapore for the last 4 years, Luc leads M&BD for Financial Markets in APAC at international law firm Simmons & Simmons. Working across SEA and HK he is responsible for crafting campaigns that raise awareness while providing additional value to existing clients beyond typical legal services. Luc has over 10 years of B2B experience working for professional services firms including Grant Thornton and Thomson Reuters. Passionate about utilising new technology to revolutionise how professional service firms approach marketing, Luc is always exploring new ways to improve efficiency, better understand client’s needs and foster engagement.
Iain Twine is an economist and political scientist and former Edelman CEO for Southeast Asia and Australia. He has over 20 years of experience in strategic and crisis communications, working across the globe. A specialist in writing, influencing and shaping policy making, and its delivery around the world, he has built multiple award winning businesses from scratch, advised government, business and NGOs.
Julia kicked off her comms career at Edelman. During her decade with the global PR agency, Julia rose up the ranks to the role of Head of Consumer - a practice she spearheaded in Singapore. She was then appointed General Manager of highly regarded creative shop The Secret Little Agency, where she helped expand its operations, contribute to strategic client counsel, and drive integration with earned capabilities. Following her time at TSLA she moved in-house, taking on a regional role with Lazada Group as VP, Integrated Communications.
In her current role as Managing Partner at AKA Asia, Julia is working closely with the management team providing invaluable creative and strategic stretch, while continuing to drive its fearlessly creative culture and fuelling its integrated thinking across digital, social and traditional comms.
