About the EventAbout the Event

We invite you to visit Eden Hall, the stunning Official Residence of the British High Commissioner to Singapore, in our Open House on 7th May. A historical private residence, this is the first time that Eden Hall will be made available for the public to visit and we encourage the community to bring family and friends to enjoy the special occasion.

On the day, the house will be open to all in a directed route with materials on hand to further your knowledge. The gardens will be open with stalls serving food, alcohol and soft drinks.

All visitors must register for an access pass to this complimentary event on this website, choosing your preferred timeslot which start from 11am. Further information is provided in the FAQs below.

We look forward to welcoming you to Eden Hall and celebrating the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III together!

** UPDATE ** The original allocation of tickets for this event is sold out. To be added to the waitlist please contact the British Chamber. Note that being on the waitlist is not a guarantee that tickets will become available. Priority will be given based on the waitlist order of registration and to those who have not already secured any tickets.

The British High Commission would like to understand how you found out about this event and how much you know about their support for British nationals in Singapore. Please open the following link in a separate tab to complete their quick survey - https://forms.office.com/e/8TUMytLfXh

FAQsFAQs

How do I register and access Eden Hall on the day of the event?

Tickets are first come, first serve through registration. All visitors must be prepared to show either a digital or print version of their access pass/registration. Tickets are transferable, to ensure the maximum number of people can enjoy the opportunity to visit Eden Hall. Registration is only via this website.

Is there a waitlist?

A waitlist is in place for tickets once the available allocation is sold out. This waitlist will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis if any tickets become available. Due to high demand the waitlist is being managed manually by the team at the British Chamber of Commerce. Your preferred timeslot many not be available.

How do I transfer my ticket(s) to others?

It is important that you keep the British Chamber team updated if you pass on any of your tickets to others. Please send the new contact info to ashni@britcham.org.sg, clearly stating how many tickets you are transferring from your original booking. All those intending to visit the event must have a valid entry pass that can be shown to the team on arrival.

I am receiving multiple confirmation emails

Due to popular demand, the event webpage experienced intermittent server outages after going live for bookings. You may have double-booked, in which case the British Chamber team will be in touch to ensure you receive only the maximum number of tickets per person, which is 6. The same applies to those who attempted to book in multiple time slots; we will be in touch.

Can I change the time slot I am registered for?

We can assist with a change in allocated timing, but please note certain timings may no longer be available based on demand. Please contact ashni@britcham.org.sg with your booking details and we will make the necessary change on our records for you.

My plans have changed and I wish to cancel my registration

As tickets are transferable we encourage you to share your ticket with friends or colleagues who may wish to attend, notifying ashni@britcham.org.sg of the change in contact person. If you wish to cancel, please notify us by the same email so that we can open up the tickets for those who wish to join via the waitlist.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is casual. As part of the event is outdoors, please be prepared for both hot weather and any rain showers!

Will there be onsite parking?

There is strictly no parking outside or within the premises. The house is on a residential street with restricted access and no parking facilities. Guests should prepare to arrive and depart by taxi. Security staff will be on hand to provide assistance if needed.

Is this an all-weather event?

Both the indoor and outdoor area of Eden Hall will be open for visitors during the event, with covering in place should there be poor weather conditions. We encourage visitors to dress for warm weather and to bring an umbrella, just in case!

Will there be wheelchair access?

As Eden Hall is a historic building, only the ground-level floor and outdoor area is accessible for wheelchairs. Unfortunately the second level is not accessible. If you will require wheelchair access please alert us on your registration form and notify the organisers in advance, by email to ashni@britcham.org.sg

Can I smoke on the premises?

Eden Hall and the grounds are a non-smoking area.

Which payment methods will the vendors accept?

As some vendors can accept cash-only, we encourage visitors to arrive prepared for cash, card and/or PayNow payments. There is no ATM in close vicinity to the venue.

Can I bring a stroller to Eden Hall for my small children?

You are welcome to bring a stroller and an allocated parking area for these will be prepared. Strollers are not allowed inside Eden Hall.

Will there be a guided tour?

Our team will be on hand to answer your questions, with printed materials and QR codes along the route for further information.
