Vandana Hari is Founder & CEO of Vanda Insights, a Singapore-based oil and gas markets analysis and research company. She has over two decades of experience providing intelligence on the global energy markets to stakeholders in the industry, related sectors, policy-makers, and wealth managers. Prior to launching Vanda Insights in September 2016, Vandana served in various leadership positions at S&P Global Platts, a leading information provider on the global energy, petrochemicals, metals and agricultural markets. During her tenure at Platts, she variously managed news reporting and price assessment operations, research and analysis, business strategy and execution, and stakeholder engagement. Vandana has a bachelor’s degree in science from India’s MD University and post-graduate diplomas in communication and social journalism. She is extensively quoted in the business press around the world and is a columnist for the Nikkei Asian Review. Vandana is a regular commentator on international radio and TV networks including Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, and Singapore's Channel News Asia.

After graduating in Chemical Engineering in 1995 and Business Management in 1996, both at Rotterdam University (Hogeschool Rotterdam en Omstreken), Douglas decided to specialise in marine fuels. After managing marine fuel oil testing laboratories in both Rotterdam as well as Singapore, he joined Lloyd’s Register in 2005 to strengthen its Fuel Oil Bunkering Advisory Services, FOBAS. He has 15+ years of experience in marine fuels testing and engineering. Douglas deals with problem fuels as well as solutions concerning marine fuels and associated environmental regulatory matters on a daily basis to end users such as ship owners and managers.

Douglas champions bunkering best practice standards in the international bunker community as well as promotes continuous education of stakeholders in the bunker supply industry on ongoing regulatory as well as technological developments concerning fuel oils. Douglas also has extensive knowledge of future fuels such as LNG, Methanol and Bio-fuels and its potential future uptake in the marine industry.
