St. John Moore
Chairman at British Chamber of Commerce in ChinaSt. John provides counsel to Chinese and foreign companies on matters related to public affairs, issue and crisis management, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and long-term corporate reputation management. He has been based in Beijing since 1999 and through that time has worked with a wide variety of foreign companies operating in China and Chinese companies going global.
St. John joined Brunswick in 2008 following seven years at APCO Worldwide where he advised foreign multinationals on investment, public affairs, government engagement, and corporate communications issues across China.
St. John has extensive hands-on experience advising on technology, media, and telecom issues as well as natural resources sector. He is a key author and driver of Brunswick’s government and policy analysis.
Recent issue and crisis counsel includes high profile environmental incidents; multi-jurisdictional product recalls; food and safety recalls; anti-corruption investigations; intellectual property litigation; bankruptcy and criminal matters; class action cross-border lawsuits; and corporate espionage matters. He has advised on Chinese companies going global, including the acquisition of key assets and integration matters, as well as foreign companies acquiring assets in China.
St. John currently serves as the Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China.
John Edwards
Her Majesties Trade Commissioner to China at Department for International Trade (DIT)Each of the HMTCs will lead on export promotion, inward and outward investment, and trade policy overseas on behalf of the UK government. Their work will include developing and delivering a regional trade plan setting out DIT’s priorities in important global markets.
John was one of the 9 Trade Commissioners appointed by the British government to promote the UK in important global markets. As the head of the Department for International Trade in China, John is in charge of all bilateral trade issues and works closely with Her Majesty’s Ambassador in Beijing to promote UK trade and prosperity.
John has 25 years of experience working for the UK government, with more than half of that time spent in China including as HM Consul General in Shanghai (2015-19) and Minister Counsellor at the British Embassy (2012-15).
In his previous roles in China, John has led teams across China dealing with science and innovation, energy, climate change and health policy. As Consul General in Shanghai he was responsible for the trade and investment relationship across East China. In his most recent role as Deputy Trade Commissioner he was responsible for the advanced manufacturing, Tech, education, life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Outside of China, John was the speechwriter for three Foreign Secretaries and was the Deputy Consul General in Jerusalem. John graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Ancient and Modern History.
Nicholas Holt
Asia Pacific Head of Research at Knight Frank Asia Pacific Pte LtdNicholas leads Knight Frank’s research platform across the Asia-Pacific region. His role includes co-ordinating research teams, tracking market performance and producing market commentary and reports. His special areas of interest within the field include government policy and intervention, cycle analysis, and intra-regional capital flows.
Nicholas has a large amount of international experience, dealing with a wide range of research and consultancy projects in the UK, mainland Europe, and throughout Asia-Pacific.
He joined Knight Frank in 2010, previously heading up the research and consultancy division in Vietnam. He then moved to Singapore in 2012 to take up his current position, relocating to Beijing in 2016, where in addition to his Knight Frank role, was elected the Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce (2017-19).
Nicholas has advised both domestic and international clients on a wide range of issues and projects, carrying out project feasibility studies, highest and best use analysis, providing development recommendations and master planning consultancy.
Prior to this, he worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in France where he was responsible for valuation and value related advisory for a large number of English and non-English speaking institutional investors, corporate clients and developers. Work included regular pan European advisory work across France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and Hungary.
Educated at the London School of Economics (LSE), with a BSc in Economics, Nicholas went on to study for a Masters (MA) in Town and Country Planning from the University of Sheffield and a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) in Surveying from the University of Reading. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
Jo Ann Reddy

At Euromonitor, she is currently leading a team of client consultants as a Senior Regional Division Manager, and services a diverse array of financial services and government agencies across Southeast Asia.
She holds an MBA and is passionate in helping clients reach their full business potential by understanding their market needs and matching it to the Business intelligence solutions.
Steven Lynch
Managing Director of British Chamber of Commerce in ChinaSteven is Managing Director for the British Chamber of Commerce in China, he grew up in Cambridge and moved to Beijing in 2012 working in events while studying Chinese. Steven has worked for the British Chamber for over 4 years as Assistant Director in charge of Events and Business Development. Steven has an MSc in Business strategy from Warwick Business School and a BA (hons) from Leeds Metropolitan University.
