Ian is a communications and marketing professional of 17 years. He had a stroke in 2018 while working and living in Taiwan, which left him with deficits on the left side of his body. 6 months of therapy and a lay off later, he came back to Singapore in 2019, raring to start working again and found a job in March 2020 just in time to get laid off again when the lockdowns began. Since then he has continued to condition himself physically, emotionally and mentally to be employable again and spent 2021 being a professional job seeker. He finally found some contract work in 2022 and has been gainfully employed since.

Simon Tay is a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Lead at Goldman Sachs. Holding a unique multi-sector perspective gained through roles across the government, multinationals and NGOs, Simon brings over 10 years of experience in building impactful inclusion initiatives across the region.
With a deep interest in disability inclusion, Simon has been a speaker at the International Forum on Disability Management and has launched multiple national disability recruitment programmes in Singapore, bringing together employers, academic and healthcare institutions to partner persons with disabilities to thrive in employment.
A firm believer in transformational inclusion and an eternal optimist, he approaches DEI with an intersectional lens, while constantly feeling the pulse through environments to evolve the space.
