Dessi, a managing director at IHS Markit (NYSE: INFO), is the APAC General Counsel and Global Head of IP & Financial Services Legal. She also manages the Singapore office. IHS Markit is a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions for the major industries and markets that drive economies worldwide. Dessi has extensive experience in advising on high value technology and IP licensing transactions, RegTech innovation, joint ventures and tech acquisitions across the region and globally. Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2010, Dessi worked within the corporate department of BLP, an international law firm based in London, advising Global Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies on M&A and ECM transactions. She earned a B.A. in Law, graduating with honors, and a Distinction in the Post Graduate Legal Practice diploma from the University of Sheffield. She also holds a Masters in Legal Technology from IE University. Dessi currently serves as President of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association.

Ivan is trained and worked in the operations and management of various industries, including environmental, power and utilities, military and healthcare. Ivan is also a member of the Rotary Club of Singapore, Architect of Life for Changi Prison, Worldwide Who’s Who and Singapore Think Tank. He has extensive business experience in Singapore and overseas markets, including China, the ASEAN, Middle East and the Americas. He has also built up an excellent network of contacts including statesmen.

Ivan has successfully led and developed till financial closed a number of greenfield and brownfield projects exceeding US$4.2 billion. He has also built up and turned around finances for various entities including a public listed company. The latest milestone achievement is the successfully partnership between two leading environmental companies in India and China, anchoring the largest environmental project in India and first of its kind strategic partnership agreement signed in New Delhi, between the Sino-Indo partners at the India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue on 26th Nov 2012. The estimated joint investment is USD 485 million and an estimated revenue of USD 2.4 billion.

Ivan has successfully raised over US$ 280 million since 2016 for pre-IPO shares and Public-Listed several companies over the course his career in Singapore and Australia Stock Exchange, AIMS in the United Kingdom and NASDAQ in the USA.

Ivan was awarded the Executive of the Year for 2014 Business Operations Management Industry by the Worldwide Who’s Who and other recent awards include Singapore Business Review for 2019 and World Intellectual Property Office (Singapore) for 2019

Vijay is a researcher with over twenty-five years of experience. He is a thought leader in human capital leadership and has served as an expert member in the World Bank Institute’s Roundtable – Leadership for Development Impact – “Getting Things Done.”

Vijay started his career as an engineer, but after recognising the need to not only interlock people having different perspectives but also unlock their human, cultural and social capital, he pursued a career in applied human capital research. He has since published extensively on human capital, including chapters in the Handbook of Leadership Development (Wiley), Handbook of Cultural Intelligence (Routledge), and Handbook of Ethnocultural Conflict (Springer). His work on these areas has also won several awards, including the Academy of Management’s Rupert Chilsom Best Theory to Practice Award. He serves as an adjunct faculty and has taught senior leaders at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS, among others.

Daisy leads on Learning and Development for consular staff across APAC, based in the British High Commission Singapore. Consular staff deliver services and support to British Nationals in trouble overseas, and so a particular focus is on developing expertise and confidence in their soft skills like active listening, empathy, and dealing with difficult situations. She works with colleagues in London and across the globe to ensure consular teams deliver a first class service to their customers

Previously she worked in L&D for UK charities, helping volunteers at Macmillan Cancer Support and Diabetes UK to develop the skills and knowledge to do their roles to the best of their abilities. At The Lord Mayor’s Appeal she worked with MNCs in financial and professional services to collaborate and share best practice on building diverse and inclusive workplace cultures, where all employees feel they belong and can succeed.
