Pavlos Spyropoulos was appointed Country Manager (Singapore) and CEO (Lloyd’s Asia) in 2020. In this role Pavlos is responsible for driving the strategic direction, promotion and oversight of Lloyd’s in Singapore and promotes Lloyd’s in the broader ASEAN region.

Pavlos is an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore Reinsurers’ Association, and a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Financial Centre Advisory Panel (FCAP).

He has over 13 years of experience in the Insurance Industry, most recently as APAC Head of Market Development for Lloyd’s and being responsible for developing Lloyd’s presence and strategy in the Asia Pacific Region from 2019.

In 2014, Pavlos relocated to Singapore to assume responsibility for Lloyd’s Asia’s Market Development function and a number of strategic initiatives in Asia Pacific.

Pavlos’ career at Lloyd’s started in 2008 in London where he was responsible for overseeing regulatory activities undertaken in Lloyd’s international office network, and co-ordinating Lloyd’s interaction with senior regulatory and governmental officials.

He has a Master’s degree in International Relations and English from the University of St Andrews, and holds the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Alan focuses on value creation through driving engineering excellence and strengthening strategic technology partnerships. He brings his wealth of engineering experience, technical skills and unique business perspectives to accelerate technological innovation to lead Cleantech Solar into its next phase of growth. Prior to this role, Alan was Head of Engineering, Procurement and Construction where he played a critical role in the market entry and successful growth of key regional markets. Alan holds a B.Eng (First Class Honours) from National University of Singapore and Project Management Professional (PMP)®.

Tom Baker graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Law and Politics before completing a Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. Tom started his insurance career in 2004 at Windsor Partners (now part of Howden Insurance Brokers) as part of their Renewable Energy division, leaving in 2010 to join GCube Underwriting Limited, a leading renewable energy insurer. Tom spent 8 years at GCube, having been promoted to Senior Underwriter underwriting both on and offshore wind projects worldwide. In 2018 Tom joined Aon in Singapore to lead their Renewable Energy strategy and growth in Asia, before joining Markel International in July 2020 to head their newly created renewable energy division. Tom’s renewable experience covers both underwriting and retail and wholesale broking, and from construction through to commercial operation of utility scale wind and solar projects, for projects located globally, so brings a good overview of the renewable energy insurance market as a whole. Nathan has over 20 years of private equity and infrastructure advisory and investment experience. He is responsible for deploying and managing over USD 600 m of funds in renewable energy and water related infrastructure within Asia representing a 40-50% allocation of CFM’s global mandate.
Since the first close of Climate Investor One in June 2017, the team under Nathan’s guidance has developed and invested in several renewable platforms which have constructed over 700 MW across 8 countries in South and South-East Asia. In addition, CFM have a significant development portfolio and pipeline in renewables, waste to energy, water infrastructure, sanitation and green shipping.
Prior to joining CFM, Nathan was one of the founding members of Equis, investing in Asian renewables for its specialised private equity funds. Prior to that, he was Head of Acquisitions for Macquarie Korea Opportunities Fund. Nathan is originally from Australia and has been living and working in Asia for the last 16 years after 5 years in New York with Macquarie.
