British Chamber of Commerce Singapore

The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore is an independent membership organisation committed to helping strengthen the ties between the UK and Singapore. We have done so since 1954.

Whether you are just starting your research into ASEAN by scoping the market opportunities in Singapore, have established your business and seeking growth, building connections to the UK Government, or looking for brand exposure and employee development opportunities, the Chamber is here to support your needs at every stage of your journey.

With a full calendar of activities throughout the year including events, publications and opportunities to collaborate with our members, the Chamber team is available to help as a point of resource, introductions, networking, learning and profile-raising.

Our goal is to deliver Member Value through the services we offer that all work towards supporting our members in achieving your business objectives and aligning with our Mission of Building Networks, Connecting Businesses, and Creating Opportunities.

All benefit from our leading position as a strong and credible voice for our members and British businesses in Singapore and beyond.

About the Webinar

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

This is an interactive and informative workshop by Cyberlite Books, designed to help parents stay informed and equipped to support their children in safely navigating the digital world. With the rise of technology and the increasing presence of the internet, it is essential for parents to be proactive in their child's digital education.

This webinar is designed as an accompaniment to our book, Ready, Get Set, Connect! (link) although the information provided does not require the book to understand.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Conducted by child cybersafety expert and co-author of Ready, Get Set, Connect!, Ms. Nina Bual, the workshop will provide the latest trends happening on Roblox, TikTok, Snapchat, Discord, and Youtube, and offer insight to the types of risks your child might be exposed to.

The session will also offer tips and solutions to managing cyberbullying, fake news, and online scams (phishing) at home with the use of parental controls and privacy settings. Parents will also be provided a list of tools, apps, parental control tips, and actionable items to carry out immediately at home, and leave feeling empowered and ready. There will also be a Q&A segment to voice your questions.
