Michael Salvatico
Head of Asia Pacific ESG Business Development, Trucost at S&P GlobalMichael Salvatico leads environmental, social and governance (ESG) business development in Asia Pacific for Trucost, based in Sydney. He works with investors and companies to consult on industry trends, assess their ESG performance and advise on the integration of tools that help manage ESG exposures and opportunities. Prior to joining Trucost, Michael was an Executive Director at MSCI Inc. and oversaw the company’s ESG Research in Australia and New Zealand. His career experience involves working in portfolio analytics, quantitative investment analysis and ESG research. Before MSCI Inc., he was part of the highly rated research team at Bank of America - Merrill Lynch where he was head of Emerging Markets quantitative analysis.
Michael was a cofounder in the Climakind initiative to reduce global carbon emissions by promoting a price on carbon and a thought leader in solutions to the rising levels of global carbon emissions.
Michael received a Master of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Merit from the University of New South Wales.
Russell Toop
Managing Director of Cheshire ConsultancyRussell established Cheshire Consultancy in early 2019 to help financial technology firms build their Asia presence and drive growth having relocated from London in 2007.
Russell has extensive experience in front, middle and back office technology having worked for leading vendors including FIS, Trading Technologies and Dynamo Software. His deep network of connections covers global exchanges, Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), private equity, investment banks, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and commercial entities.
Prior to TT, Russell held positions at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank & Eurex derivatives exchange and is a chartered member of the Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Boon Chong Chia
Director, Group Sustainability of SingtelBoon Chong started his career with Singtel in 1994 in the Corporate Communications Division, focusing on the company’s communications needs and public relations matters. He is a communications specialist with vast experience in the entire spectrum of this field including media relation, internal communication, and event management.
He has been heading the Group Sustainability unit since March 2010, responsible for driving a wide range of sustainability and strategic community programmes to further entrench Singtel’s position as a sustainable and responsible company.
Boon Chong currently sits on the Management Committee of the Global Compact Network Singapore, an agency that promotes the corporate social responsibility movement in Singapore. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (2nd Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Stefan Ullrich
Managing Director of The WarrenStefan Ullrich is founder and Managing Director of The Warren, a Singapore-based sustainability consultancy focusing on Sustainable Finance and on developing new collaborative solutions for financing the transition to a low-carbon, resilient and sustainable global economy. Following a successful career expanding the business of world-leading futures exchanges in Asia, he joined Singapore consultancy Paia Consulting in 2016, where he was director for Sustainable Finance from 2016 until January 2020. He is a degree candidate for the Master's in Sustainability at Harvard Extension School and holds a Master’s Degree in Classical Chinese from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.
