About the Webinar

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

Economic energy storage is the key to net zero.

Adding to the list of things in common, Bill Gates, Jeff Besoz and Elon Musk have now added battery storage to the list.

Energy storage is a dynamic developing sector critical to achieving net zero. It covers the spectrum of EV batteries, grid level and behind the meter batteries, pumped storage and the burgeoning green hydrogen industry.

While adoption at scale is still heavily reliant on government support to bring down costs, for how long?

Costs of battery storage are predicted to decline by 30% in Asia over the next 5 years - and battery storage for microgrids is already cost competitive versus the comparative cost of connecting remote islands and areas in the region to the grid.

In merchant markets batteries pay for themselves as "power plants", trading electricity as prices spike and dip. Exciting developments are also afoot with the emergence of vehicle to grid energy technology enabling EVs to become mobile batteries.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Join us on Sep 23 as we focus on

  • the growing opportunities to invest in, develop and finance the future of battery storage in the region,
  • the human imperative to accelerate the roll out of battery technologies and a commercial rationale for doing so.

Our panel of experts will walk you through recent developments globally and in the region.

Closing out our session you will have the opportunity to join a breakout group session with one of our panelists and other attendees.
