British Chamber of Commerce Singapore

The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore is an independent membership organisation committed to helping strengthen the ties between the UK and Singapore. We have done so since 1954.

Whether you are just starting your research into ASEAN by scoping the market opportunities in Singapore, have established your business and seeking growth, building connections to the UK Government, or looking for brand exposure and employee development opportunities, the Chamber is here to support your needs at every stage of your journey.

With a full calendar of activities throughout the year including events, publications and opportunities to collaborate with our members, the Chamber team is available to help as a point of resource, introductions, networking, learning and profile-raising.

Our goal is to deliver Member Value through the services we offer that all work towards supporting our members in achieving your business objectives and aligning with our Mission of Building Networks, Connecting Businesses, and Creating Opportunities.

All benefit from our leading position as a strong and credible voice for our members and British businesses in Singapore and beyond.

About the Webinar

Following our dialogue with Minister for Manpower Josephine Teo towards the end of last year, it was agreed that a follow-up session on foreign manpower issues and questions would be beneficial for our members, and we have been working to bring this together for you over the past few months.

Returning to our calendar for 2021, we are delighted to welcome senior leaders from the Work Pass Division to address our members with the latest foreign manpower policy updates. This session provides a platform for the Ministry to share policy developments and planning while hearing feedback directly from our members, and is timely following recent announcements on Dependent Passes which will have a direct impact on our member organisations.

Due to the nature of the discussions, this session will not be recorded for later video release - we recommend that a representative from all member companies attend this important event. If your membership includes or allows for additional representatives to participate, please do encourage your senior HR representatives to also attend. If you have any questions on your membership allowance to accommodate attendance, please contact membership@britcham.org.sg.

An opportunity for questions will be available during the live session, and members will note the additional opportunity to share questions in advance using the registration form. Please note, as with any sessions of this nature, company-specific work pass questions will likely be referred for an offline response, in which instance the member asking the question will be noted by the Chamber team and we will assist to pass on your contact details for post-event follow up, if necessary.

This session forms part of our ongoing Future of Work activities, supported by Official Partner Prudential
