About the Event

The line between clever marketing and deceptive advertising is blurrier than ever.


We're thrilled to announce the first-ever collaborative event between The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and The Marketing Society, organised by our Marketing & Communications Committee. This landmark event will dive into the contentious world of fake advertising, bringing together leading minds in the industry for an essential discussion.


In our 'Uncomfortable Conversations' format, we'll create a space for open dialogue, inviting our influential network to discuss and debate the ethics and impact of fake marketing. We'll explore:

  • Brands Pushing the Limits: Are some campaigns crossing the line? We'll analyze past FauxOOH campaigns to see where things went wrong.
  • Legitimate Strategies: What ethical tactics can brands use to understand the impact of their work?
  • AI's Role: Delve into how AI technology is shaping, and sometimes distorting, the marketing landscape.
