Following on from our first SME Review last year, our panel of experts will once again try to predict what is in store for start-ups and SMEs in Singapore and the region in the coming 12 months.

Our panel concluded last year that despite 2017 being a rather mixed bag for start-ups and SMEs, 2018 was looking optimistic. They proved to be right.

As we embark on 2019, our panel this year will try to answer questions around Singapore's economic outlook, what are the growth drivers, what will the impact of global geopolitical uncertainty be on Singapore and its growth prospects, what are the likely repercussions for the start-up and SME sectors, how successful is the government support/initiatives for the start-up ecosystem and SMEs (such as in the FinTech sector) and what are the challenges start-ups and SMEs are likely to face (such as talent and labour shortages).

This year we also bring you a panel comprised of winners and finalists of the Chambers 19th Annual Business Awards and all successful women running businesses in Singapore. A focus on what it takes to be a successful woman entrepreneur in Singapore is also in store at this event.
